The Indian Department of Telecommunications (DOT) is responsible for issuing and regulating OSP licenses for call centers located in the country. The infrastructure at an address in India known as the OSP Center is what the OSP uses to deliver application services. An OSP that offers application services inside national borders is referred to as a domestic OSP. An OSP that offers application services outside of national borders is referred to as an international OSP.
OSP is only the shortened version of Other Service Provider. The other services provider is a business that offers application services. Application services refer to the provision of services via the use of telecom resources supplied by Authorized Telecom Service Providers, including telebanking, telemedicine, teletrading, e-commerce, call center network operation center, and other IT enabled services.
