The applicant or an advocate on behalf of whom the applicant has completed a Power of Attorney may sign and submit a copyright application. If an advocate is submitting an application, the applicant's signed and approved Power of Attorney must be sent with the application.

If more than one work needs to be registered, separate applications need to be submitted for each registration together with the necessary payment.

The lawful use of Copyrighted work without Permission

Under specific conditions, the legislation permits the use of a registered work for research, study, criticism, reviews, and news reporting; it also permits the use of the work in libraries, schools, and legislatures without the owner's consent.
